Maxon Cinema 4D Character - Animation & Rigging
TRAINING COURSE – Maxon Cinema 4D R21 Character – Animation & Rigging
This training is aimed at 3D artists who already have some knowledge in Maxon Cinema 4D and now want to learn character animation and rigging.
In this training you will learn the basic techniques in character animation and how to build stable and practice proven rigs in Cinema 4D.
Starting with the animation tools, the power Slider, Timeline and F-Curves as well as the work with Key-Selections and Selection-Objects, we will then talk about possible animation techniques with the help of Deformers.
Creating your own UI Panel and HUD Elements help the animator to focus on the animation process. Moreover we will deal with the Joint-System beginning with a technical (mechanical) Rig, useful for machines or robots, and the concepts of deformation rigs and controller systems.
With this knowledge we then start creating our first organic character and we will learn the difference between FK- and IK-Chains, and of course, how to switch between them.
Movements of the rig is transferred to the mesh with the help of skin-deformers and weigth-maps. Here you will get to know your „best friend“ - the powerful weight-manager. Subtle changes in meshes, for example in facial expressions, are built with the postMorph-Tag. We will use pre-defined poses for different expressions. We learn how to set them up and mix them.
In the course of this training, powerful supplements like the muscle-system, as well as the template-driven character-object and the visual-selector will be dealt with.
